Create the Promotion Code

Although promotion codes work across all your events, they must be created from within a specific event. Go to your Event Dashboard and click Promo Codes (in the general settings below event specific items) .

Fill in the Promo Code Details

In the dialogue box that opens, click Add Promo Code and complete the following fields:

• Code — any alphanumeric value, e.g. DISCOUNT40
• Type — fixed amount or percentage
• Discount — the discount amount
• Quantity — total number of uses available
• Status - Enabled or Disabled
• Expiry Date — Date and time the code will become invalid

Click Save to activate the code.

Assign the Code to a Ticket

A promotion code must be assigned to a ticket before delegates can use it. Go back to your Event Page, navigate to the Tickets section, select the ticket, and choose the promotion code from the Promotional Code dropdown. Save the ticket to apply the assignment.

You can remove or change the assigned code at any time.

⚠ A promotion code can be assigned to multiple tickets across different events. However, delegates can only use it on tickets it has been explicitly assigned to.

Set Early Bird Pricing on the Ticket

Unlike promotion codes, Early Bird pricing is set directly on the ticket itself — no separate creation step needed. Open the ticket you want to discount, enter the Early Bird sale price, then set a start date and end date for the period. Save the ticket — the reduced price will apply automatically during the defined window and revert to the standard price once it expires.

ⓘ Early Bird pricing is visible and available to all delegates — no code required. It is the simplest way to reward early registrations.
